I spent last night cutting up some nice spalted maple pen blanks. These has some great lines throughout and is very solid. I've got more to cut up tonight. Looks like some great pens from these.

:search: Nice blanks. I always look at the ends of blanks I buy to see it the spalting runs through the middle of the blank. All that fancy wood on the outer surface ends up on the floor. Jim S

I check each one I cut and if it does not have good spalting throughout the blank it goes to the burn pile. A few blanks gets wasted but all are good quality. I spalt most of my own wood so I can catch it at just the right time.
