Spacer for Mesa/Gatsby tube to 7mm

I want a cylindrical spacer tube to allow a larger tube to be supported on a 7mm sized mandrel. I have bushings, but for blank trimming on my sander an adapter would help. I made one using a 7mm tube glued to wood and turned it but I still want one that is better. Thanks in advance for steering me to a source.

Some people use punches in a drill chuck, with a wood block and sandpaper disk. You should be able to find a punch for any size tube. There are instructions somewhere on the site.

Penn State sells sleeves for many style pens that can be used on a 7mm barrel trimmer. I make them out of Delrin and they work real well.

I just finished a tutorial on how to make a pen sleeve. It is pretty easy and you can make the spacer / sleeve for whatever size brass tube you desire. The secret is summed up in the lower photo on the second page. Make up the sleeve blanks ahead of time. It is just as easy to make 4 or 5 as make 1.

I use HF punches personally. There were about $9.00 a set. Hope this helps.

I thank all of you for your kind efforts, but Randy S understood my needs best. I want to use my table saw sanding disk to trim blanks that are not suited to a pen mill and Rick Herrel's sander when doing final end sanding. I need a tubular bushing to help with these jobs. I will use Randy S's tutorial link and make some using delrin.
