Does anyone have one and what do you think? I have a craft supply gift cert I would like to use and want to replace my current stock tailstock for my Jet mini.

Should I just get a $13 60* tailstock instead? What is the benefit of all the adaptors? I know at times when I buy a tool that has an adapter for everything it does most tasks well, but nothing perfectly. Do you think this is one of those situations?

As with anything, it depends on your needs. That is a lot of money for a live center just for turning pens. A standard 60 degree live center will serve you well for many years doing pens.
BTW, the tailstock is the big part of your lathe at the opposite end from the headstock. What you are asking about is live centers that fit into the tailstock.

I don't own one, but have spoken with at least a couple people who do, and love them. The general concensus seems to be very well made and smooth turning tool.
That said, I use one of the cheapies from Little Machine Shop and love it. [:)]
