While I was turning it was becoming more difficult to slide my tool across the blank. I checked the tool rest and back side of the tool and both had a gummy feel to them. Who knows why but a little 600 grit paper to both the tool rest and the tool and it was a totally different feel!

I just thought I would save someone else the headache.

I'll check mine tomorrow. I use a file to keep the tool rest clear of glue and keep it level/straight.
