Some things I have been working on

Do not post much, but trying out new phone pictures. The cartridge pens are zebra wood, the Gatsby pen was turned cut from a piece of cinnamon scented wood I had picked up. The bottle stopper &scoop are spalted hackberry.

The Gatsby is the pen I posted about on trying to disassemble. Used a punch to get the clip assembly apart and the used a tubing cutter to cut the wood & brass tubing apart near the base of the barrel. Then I was able to spit the brass tubing a little and tear off the small remaining piece. Managed to save everything but the tube. Considered myself lucky.

What finish did you use on the scoop & stopper.

Yes, finish? Ice cream scoop- the most important item in the kitchen, especially when watching a baseball game. :eat:

Nothing special, just several coats of friction wax and some carnuba.
