While soapstone is a beautiful material, working with it is a PIA and it is extremely brittle and prone to cracking. I have made 2 pens that have survived the ordeal and both sold. BUT, with the disclaimer to the customer that if these pens were dropped or mishandled in any way the soapstone would most probably crack and I was not responsible for replacement or repair to the pen.
Both customers agreed and wanted the pens for their collections and not as every day writers.
Would I make another.. maybe if I get a custom order.. but they aint cheap [:p][:p][:p]

NAH, you don't need the snakewood.. the soapstone will be enough [:p][:p]
