A customer was interested in a stylus, so I ordered the stylus conversion kit from PSI to use on a slimline kit I already had. I pressed the threaded cap nut in and when I screwed the stylus cap in I noticed the hole in the slimline clip was larger than the threads on the stylus cap. The fit was loose and the clip wobbled around. I knocked the threaded cap nut out a bit so it wasn't flush with the end of the wood and then pressed everything together using a wood block with a hole in it. That seemed to work as the hole in the clip is the same diameter as the cap nut. So, I was wondering if this is an acceptable fix, or if the cap nut will be pushed in with use, thus making the clip loose again. Thanks,

Bill

Worked for me

Bill,

I did the same exact thing and it seems to be working. As long as the stylus cap stays screwed down tight there shouldn't be a problem. I don't know if any lock-tite will be needed but so far so good.
