Sketch pencil question

A few years ago I made a 3.5 mm lead pencil. I had to sand down the diameter of the lead for it to work properly. I have someone who wants one. Does anybody know if that issue has been solved? I see now it says it takes a 3mm lead just wondering if I should use it or see if they could work with the larger one.

I've made several in the last few years an haven't had a problem with the CSUSA model.

Ditto to Jim. I have made several and it seems the kinks have been worked out. I would measure with the calipers - seems like the bushings are just a bit shy. I have found it easy to turn too much off. I have an artist friend who does a lot of sketching and he loves them.
