The Brightness of the 'silver' colored pen kits is an interesting thing.
Chrome is probably the least bright.

Silver is probably the brightest,

Platinum jewelery is usually flash plated with Rhodium to make it brighter - silver is sometimes flashed with rhodium to make it a little harder.

Palladium is often used with gold to make white gold that does not "yellow" with age....it is also very bright. Unlike Platinum Palladium does not need to be flashed with Rhodium to make it brighter.

Rhodium is plated in a thin coat because it get's brittle when plated thicker. Rhodium wears well but in most jewelery applications it is applies so thin that it wears off very quickly.

How much difference is there? Who knows? Side by side it is easy to see the difference....on your desk who would notice??
