I was just wondering how many of you have had issues with the Sierra...

In the past year, I've made about six or eight or so Sierras (including two Fishers of Men pens)...four of them came back in pieces.

I've never had an issue with any other pen kit, but a lot of Sierras end up falling apart...is this just me, or have others noticed this?

Not a lot of experience on them yet,

But out off about 40 wall street II's and some Diplomats, Only have had one bad, the section that the transmission screws into came out from the nib..

Other then that no problems.

I would guess your problem is the as DennisM said. If the customer over turns the twist mech. it slowly unscrews itself. If they then continue to use it the "coupler" slowly works its way up into the carrel until such time the threads do not catch anymore and you get pieces. I started shortening the barrel length a nit to prohibit the piece from sliding so far up. It still can unscrew if over twisted but the threads will still catch to be put back together. If that does not souns about right I don't know. That is the only known problem I have had with that style pen.
