Are the long tubes on the cigar pencil SUPPOSED to be 1/16" shorter than the pens? I just opened my last two pencil packages and both long tubes are short. I checked the other 3 pencils I've made, and all of them have the longer tube...but I never paid any attention to whether the length was different because I've never seen anything telling me they were, and it would seem this would be mentioned in the instructions...so I mighta used replacement tubes. I found one more short tube loose in my cugar drawer, and quite coincidentally I have two assembled pens that I just can't make work properly. Gotta wonder if I used short tubes on them. 
Looking at the pencil, it appears that it could stick out a bit at the end and be all right...so I'm using the short ones...but it rather irritates me. Lesson learned...
