I'm in the market for a sharpener/grinder and have spent some time reading reviews.

I have seen sharpeners with two stones with different grits and other with one stone and one leather. Is there a preferable combination that will give the best result for turning pens?

Thanks for your input.

I think more important is the quality of the stone(s) ... a white aluminum oxide wheel is much better than the standard wheel that comes on most grinders and is much prefered for sharpening HSS. There are no doubt other types that are even better but the white aluminum oxide, IMO, should be a minimum requirement for a decent grinder setup.
