Segmenting Question

What kind of glue is best to use when glueing aluminum segments on wood? I have tried CA glue but not with the best results.

Make sure you scuff it with sandpaper. Most use epoxy.

I use thick CA. Scuff and wipe clean.

Ok thanks, I will have to give it another try and just try a little harder this time.

I've had CA fail during drilling, so I'm pretty sure that it was because the heat generated by the drill bit was transferred to the metal, then to the CA, causing it to fail. Some have pre-drilled then glued in order to avoid that. Drilling with a smaller diameter bit and building up the the correct size (allowing time for any heat to dissipate) may work also.
