Here's one I made from scraps of acrylic I had left over. Just CA'd them together drilled and turned as normal.

Is this something like what you had in mind? I had to dig way back for this one, it's from a while ago. Anyway, nowdays I would use a bullet for the nib and put the clip under the casing base on top instead of just sticking it on top, but the basic concept still holds. I still have this pen and still use it regularly.

BTW, that's a USAF expert marksman ribbon on top, over a section of purpleheart.

Eric,

Your segmented bullet pens are really nice looking -- something for me to file away as a future project. I am not a big fan of the bullet pen kits, and I think the main reason is that I jsut do not liek the clips that are rifles, although they could be replaced.

Thanks for he inspiration to try a different approach to a bullet pen.

Ironically, I just bought the little mini saw you from Harbor Freight a few days ago, which you mentioned in one of your posts. I thought it would be a good tool for cutting brass tubing. I had gone to Harbor Freight to buy an arbor press, and noticed the mini saw on sale. BTW, for those that are not happy with their current method of assembling pens, an arbor press is a nice way to go. I added a small disc of UHMW (polyethylene) to the ram, and use UHMW for the base, although I need to fashion an additional base to accomodate long assemblies.
