I have seen a few pens here with round scallops on the ends of blanks for decoration. Can some one point me to a tutorial if there is one??? Or would someone like to explain to me how this is done and if you have any photos to accompany the lesson would be greatly appreciated. I would like to incorporate this in a pen. Thanks in advance for the help. Much apprerciated.

A scallop is created by cutting of the end of the blank like a pyramid. Or..it could be compared to cutting the bottom of a stake to drive into the ground. You cut of the corners and then replace them. You can cut of the corners and replace them, then come back and re-cut off the corners but on a compound angle this time and the scallops will alternate back and forth like a fishes scales. Pretty straightforward yes, but easier said then done!
