I don't know, Shane. It sounds like recycling to me. [8D]

Richard, some people collect the shavings, add aromatic oils and sell bags of it as potpourri. Otherwise, it is scrap as it likely has too many voids to make a decent blank unless it is heavilly compressed. IMHO, too much trouble when there is so much unguarded wood in Griz's garage. [:D][}:)]

I've been saving some acrylic shavings with that same idea. One of these days I'll give it a try because I think that it would be kind of interesting.

The polyester is a thermoset because the reaction is caused by the catalyst. Like an egg, once it's cured, it can't be remelted like a themoplastic can. I haven't tried it, but it should burn rather than melt. The acrylic should be able to melt to be reformed.

Oh, I understand, but I wasn't talking about melting it. Just mixing the shavings in their solid state into some clear PR. Whether they be acrylic or PR you might get an interesting effect.

You guys should definately save your shavings. I have a friend that told me that his friend, knows a guy at Microsoft. Bill Gates will pay you 86 dollars for every bag of Shavings that you send him. He has made 258 dollars already!

Good one Mudder. I got a good laugh out of this one. A tree hugger turned..."I wonder how that would turn?"[:D][:D]
