Sanding Celluloids / Resins

I just started turning celluloids/resins. I understand the potential dangers of wood dust....but does the same apply to celluloids/resins if you use water on your sandpaper when sanding? Thanks, Coop

I am not positive on the answer but I would say yes. Any fine dust is probably very bad for your respitory system. Wet sanding should eliminate most of the air borne dust but I think it is better to be safe than sorry.

Check out Yoyospins video tutorials, he wet sands to 600 then buffs with tripoli and white diamongd wheels. I've tried the buffing wheels (even though I dry-sanded) and have had great results with less work.
