Hi,

Has anyone ever had a bad reaction to Rosewood. The "Charts" say that it is one of the most potent sensitizers and irritants out there, but I question those charts since maple is on them too.

Anyone have any experience?

What do you guys think of those Hazard chart? I see them and think I should hide in my house - those evil tree will get me. [:p]

Hide in your house, Why would you do that? We have more stuff made of those woods inside the house; you're much safer outside

I can touch several types of rosewood and cocobolo and break out into water blisters all over my arms, the same reaction I get from poison oak and ivy and it takes about a week to run it's course.

But I dearly love turning some rosewood burks so put long sleeve shirts on and cover up as much as possible and clean up immediately afterwards.
