Rollerball replacement in Statesman

I just sold 5 Statesman and the customer loves them. Issue is that he does not like the Rollerball inser, it smears. Calls for the Schmidt insert. Kit is from C. Supply. Has anyone replaced with a different insert?

A Pilot G2 gel will work as a replacement, I have them in fine and broad. That is if he likes a gel.

I am not sure I understand correctly, but CSUSA sels Schmidt Rollerball Refill for 2.99.
So far I never had any problem with that refills.

Cav, you absolutely hit it on this one. I spend a lot of time looking for particular pens that don't smear, I'm one of the worst type - I'm not a left-and-over (the amusing ones), I'm not a left-and-under (the sorta normal ones), I'm a left-and-sideways and drag my hand through the ink all the time. I grew up LOVING my Pentel pencil.

I've had good luck with Uniball vision and Pilot V5 pens, but those don't have inserts. :frown: But I'm keeping my eyes open for good lefty RB inserts (or FP inks)!

Thanks Cav, you provided the solution to my problem. He just needs to learn how to write with his right hand. Never thought a lefty would have such problems.

Does that also explain his bad driving habits?
