Ryan from Woodturningz sent me a number of his/their Inlace Acrylester blanks as the winner of one of the contests during the 2010 Birthday Bash. I haven't turned any as yet, they are way too nice to waste on just any pen.

I have chosen the Red Nebula from the Diamond Series http://www.woodturningz.com/IA/IAALL70.jpg as the blank I want to turn first, but I have no idea what pen to put it on.

Question for you -- (1) Have you ever turned this blank and if so what pen did you put it on? (2) If you have never turned it, do you have any suggestions for a pen to put it on?

I did one of the galaxy blanks on a Sierra Vista. It came out nice IMO. I would use gold hardware as gold and red seem to go well together. If you can't get it smooth (I couldn't at first) finish it with CA and then buff it out. It will look great.

Thanks Hans & Don! 2 beautys, now the problem is the blank is only 4 15/16" long. Can I get 1 of each pen from the blank? The Vista tube measures 2 1/4" but my supplier is out of the Diva till next week.

Does anyone happen to know the length of the tube on the Diva?
