Red Morrell Burl & Spalted Maple

I received my blanks and now wondering what the heck to do with them ! The Morrell fells real heavy so I do not think it needs to be stabilized, spalted maple- the complete opposite- light & pourous- needs stabilization. Are these correct assumptions ? Spalted maple- sand, not turn to approximate size then stabilize. Thanks for the help in advance

There are many ways to stabilize blanks. I'm too cheap to send them out to be stabilized and I don't have enough time to do vacuum stabilization. So I just turn the blanks and apply thin CA when necessary. Turn more and apply more CA.
