Hello All!

I'm new to the forum and have been soaking in as much as I can. I have tried multiple modifications I have found shared here. I'm having a lot of fun exploring ideas.

I found this article:
http://content.penturners.org/library/pens/slimline_modifications.pdf

On page 9, there is a photo of an end clip that is slightly recessed. (Photo #5). How the heck does one go about doing that?

Any help here would be great!

Thanks in advance,

scott

I guess I don't understand how you size the barrel properly. The end still needs to sit in the brass tube, so how do I get a clean hole to insert the end? I can't really think of how to use the bushing, as it would be pressing up agaisnt wood rather than the brass tube.

Are you suggesting that I just oversize it and carve out wit ha dremel? Or are you saying the notch for the clip can be done with a dremel?

Now that I'm looking closer, yes you leave the end longer. Drill the end oversized to fit in the finial and dremel out the area for the clip.

Hope I'm stating what I'm thinking it should look like.
