Hi!

I was wondering, what's the size of a finished Carbara pen? I'd like to turn (for myself) a nice pen that I'd carry in my shirt's pocket. I already have a Sierra click (about 5"3/4) but I would prefer something a little shorter and I think the Carbara would fit the bill.

Also, any idea where I could find a black TI Carbara kit in Canada?

Thanks!

With the tip retracted it is 4 3/4". AKA Polaris or Atlas depending upon whom you buy from.

William Wood-Write sells the kits (William Wood-Write Ltd.) they have a black plating but not sure if it is Ti.

Thanks for your answer. I think that would be a good size for my needs.

I know William Wood-Write sells the Carbaras. That's the place where I get all my kits :)
Too bad they don't carry the black Ti, only black chrome.

Does this kit requires a full blank or only one half?

Martin,

The tube length is about 2 3/4", so unless your blanks are in excess of 5 1/2" I doubt you will be able to get two pens out of a single blank.

This one works well with a longish short blank -- 3 inch is a good length to screen for.

It does allow one to get a sierra and an atlas from a fatish 5 1/4 inch blank with care in cutting and drilling.
