I know (from experience) that the black enamel finish on the slimlines tend to crack and flake off when you put the pen together.

Am I safe in assuming that the black ti plating holds up? Are they very black?

Any and all input is appreciated.

Black Ti is super durable, it's almost like an anodized finish on the metal. it's not a real deep black like black chrome or enamel. It could better be described as a 'dark gunmetal' color. I've included a couple of pics so you can see how it looks on light and dark wood. I really like the look, it goes with almost anything.

Nancy, one of the suppliers describes Black Ti as "smokey chrome" and yes I've found it to be very durable......and mighty pretty coupled with Oli vewood
