Guys I am making a Jr. Statesman soon and would like to keep inside one of CSUSA's leather pen cases on the days I wear a sweater and find is a pain to keep a pen in my shirt. I use Deft lacquer and still prefer it over the CA myself. With a properly cured lacquer (say a week prior to the wet sand & polish) will the case harm the lacquer finish? The pen will be in and out alot in the day time, however it may be left in it overnight daily. What do you think? I may give the CA another shot, but I have not been happy with the mess so far. Anyone really good at it and close to NE Conn. want to "demo" one for me?? :D

Not that it should matter, but the pen will be the Rhodium FP on African Blackwood.

Lee, if the leather is chrome tanned, it will react with the lacquer. I would go with CA if you intend to carry it in leather. Try Russ' method of applying CA and BLO (recent video). It's really quite easy and will look good.
