Does anyone have any experience and/or suggestions they are willing to share, good or bad, about turning the material called M3? I'm considering purchasing some blanks and would like to know if any of you have any advice?

Use sharp tools. The material comes off like a powder when turning/drilling. I drilled mine on the lathe. I used the polish that the manufacturer supplied.

I don't think there are any special tricks. You need sharp tools, as usual, and this stuff is dense enough you'll probably need to re-sharpen while turning, but otherwise it behaves a lot like TruStone.

Thank you all for taking the time to reply. George, a special thanks for pointing me to the review you did. Wow, you really did a great job. I especially like your post #20.

Thanks again,
JJ
