Question about Berea Streamline American

I was thinking about trying this kit. The description in the catalog indicates that "with the black end tube eliminated and the lower barrel made longer". How much longer is the lower barrel? Bottom line, can this kit be made with a 5 inch blank?

Richard the short answer to your question would be...YES. The long version would be...look at the catalog and you will see a little black tube on the end of the pen of the Round Top European or the Series 2000 Flat Top? Well that has been taken away and the lower blank has been extended by about a half inch to make up for it. I have made both and I like the new Streamline American, its a very nice pen. Try it, you'll like it.
