I have a good friend that has asked me to make a very nice pen and pencil kit as from a gift for her husband. I'd like to get feedback from those here on IAP as to the best "matching" pen and pencil kits they have found. I'l like to make this a special gift so $30+ per kit is not too much.

Thanks in advance for your feedback and suggestions.

I have done a couple with Sierra Click pens (using the roller ball refill instead of the parker and extension) and the click pencil to match. Difference is size makes them easy to keep straight, and the appearance with the titanium finishes is nice - Nothing cheap about the combination in appearance.

Just to continue to give you options, consider the Perfect Fit.

To make the pencil kit, all you have to do is buy a Schmidt pencil mechanism and use it instead of the Parker refill. BTW, buy a couple to have a refill on hand for the owner of your set.

I sold a set to a lady to give her mother for Christmas, and it was very well received.

+1 for the Berea Perfect Fit Convertible - just one kit, just change the refill, and, voila, a pencil.
This is the only pen/pencil I still make - I let the customer decide what they want it to be. For sets, I always make them in twos or threes anyways.
