I went to visit a factory in our small town that makes pvc pipe. I walked into the office and introduced myself and he ask what could he do for me and I asked him if he had a piece of scrap pvc pipe laying around. He said have a seat and I will go see. After a few minutes he came back with a piece of blue pipe. This pipe is one inch thick, it is 18 inches long. Here is one half of it.

Oh another good tip.

If it is curved and you think gees I wish that was straight.

Just pop it in the oven at about 250 for about 15-20 minutes it will soften and get flexible enough to straighten it. Just clamp it and let it cool. You wont melt it at that temp it takes much higher heat to melt. And don't even try and melt it goggle PVC fumes very very nasty stuff.
