I make many Sculpted pens from PSI but lately am making 6-7 pens if I need 5. During final assembly, I'm finding the twist mechanism inside the upper barrel spins freely and won't "grip" the tube to operate the pen.
Today, with an order deadline looming over me, I was fed up and started changing out other Sculpted kits' twist mechanisms, and voila! I've discovered some of the twist mechanisms are coated in a light "sticky" finish that grip the upper barrel tube and operate the pen. The twist mechanisms I've had trouble with are NOT sticky or coated and, therefore, don't operate the pen.
So one problem is solved, but . . . Now my question is: Does anyone know what I can use to "coat" the other twist mechanisms that have come from PSI uncoated so they will have that needed stickiness?? Thanks for any thoughts!
