PSI Pro Click frustration

I have put together maybe 10 of the Pro Clicks so far. Overall I like them after they get broke in a bit. There has been 2 that have given me problems. Both the same. They simply just don't work. When you press the click button, the nib extends all the way and the button gets stuck. I tried mis-matching the mechanism with a few other pens and got better results but still didn't work every time. Anybody else have problems similar? I've searched online and can't find anything about it. Please tell me my $20 blanks aren't lost.

I found that the center band was hitting against the sleeve and crushing it when it was inserted, causing the click mechanism to bind.
My solution was to sand some off of the end of the center band on the end that is inserted toward the sleeve.
Every pen after that worked perfectly.

My fix is to instal the SKM 88 Schmidt button.

I've had a few with the same problem. You have to be very careful not to trim to much off when squaring the barrel (I think I've said that correctly). Once I was careful with that process, everything has been good.
