I just received my first PSI kits in the mail today. I picked up matching Polaris pen and pencil kits. I'm going to make two sets for a fundraising auction. The auction is next weekend, so I have little time to get these done.

I've made an Atlas kit from Woodcraft, and really liked it.

Are there any things to look out for with these kits from PSI?

I've haven't made a pencil yet, any worries there?

No issues turning them, but I don't like the design of the pencil mechanism. It only holds one lead at a time and you have to manually feed it in.

Don't waste your money on Polaris/Atlas pencils. Use the pens and convert them with the Schmidt pencil converter. Take a look here www.arizonasilhouette.com/Pen_Kit_Instructions.htm

Good idea but it won't save any money - the Schmidt converter costs enough that a pen kit & schmidt converter cost more than a pencil kit.

Very true but the Schmidt converter is far superior so in mind it is worth a little extra.

I sort of thought that's what you meant.
