I recently made a Mini Purse pen like the ones PSI sells (though mine came from Bill at Arizona Silhouette). It looks like the same style kit to me. I wish they made a finish other than Upgrade Gold though. Here are the (very crappy) pictures. Hope they help.

These are also Purse pens from PSI.. first is a polygem - Malachite
second is polygem - "Spring Flowers" and third is deer antler.
Apologize for the crappy pictures... these are old pictures from my library.. and hopefully I've improved my turning since these were made..

The "centerband" with the three huge beads is a separate part that the nib screws into. The single piece with three beads contains female threads and is pressed into the nib end of the lower barrel and the nib then screws into it (and over the refill).

Jim--

The Purse Pen (the one with the three bead centerband) is 4 5/16" long

The Credit Card Pen (the Coconut Palm) is 3 9/16" long.
