I dont have the 3/4" but I do have the 5/8" bowl gouge and it is a good tool. Holds its edge as well as any other HSS knife I have.

I have been using the BB 3/8 gouge for three years, keep it sharp, the rest close to your work and cut below center with a firm hand. I have done hundreds of pens with it and I still use it every day on wood, stone and acrylics. Richard Van Hulle, Aiken pen & pencil.

I have the 3/4" roughing gouge
i sharpen it before each use, does a good job. I can
turn acrylic down as far as i need to, cant beat it.

i have the Benjamins Best anniversary set and for the money there hard to beat, i found that a quick honing before i first used them useful, i,ve turned wood, acrylics and inlace with them no problems.
