I bought a set - they're my "acrylic" tools. I've turned 2 pens with them and they still seem as sharp as when I took them from the box.
They seem to hold an edge better than the HSS I was using on the acrylics. The HSS holds an edge fine for my woode pens.
Once I get my sharpening station set up and grind a couple of tools down to nubs, I may ditch the carbide tools on the other hand, if they hold up well, I may not.
