Years ago, 24k plating was the worst. 3 weeks of daily use and the finish was rubbing off. Is I any better today?

PSI offers a lifetime guarantee on most of their 24K gold finished kits. They don't offer it on the funline series. They also say their 24K gold kits are sealed with epoxy (as are most 24K finishes today) which increased the wear life. I have a number of 24K gold pens, made several years ago and used fairly often, that show no signs of wear.

I had one customer that demanded a 24k plated pen. I explained the problems with 24k plating. I supplied him with a small can of renaissance was and told him he had to was the hardware every 3 - 6 months. It gives the add protection from the chemicals from your body. So far so good.
