Just starting out. After sanding, I clean the blanks with Denatured Alcohol. I then apply several coats of CA. I am in a basement that is not well ventilated. I am wearing a 3M Tekk Protection Paint Project Respirator from HomeDepot.
Paint Project Respirator, Medium, 1 each/pack, 4 packs/case-6211PA1-A at The Home Depot

Specks say:
-Use for spraying, brushing or rolling oil or water based paints, primers, enamels, varnishes, wood and deck stains
-Use for refinishing with non-methylene chloride strippers

I'm assuming this is not going to cover me for the CA and the Alcohol.
I am smelling both a bit through the mask.

Second problem. I've got a beard typically 1/2 - 1 inch long. The respirator specifically says not to use if you have a beard.

So, the questions are.
Am I mostly covered by wearing what I have?
If not, what should I get?

Thanks!!!

It covers you for VOC's...the CA byproduct and for DNA. You would have to go to a PAPR with a VOC cartridge if you want to keep the beard.
