Hello friends, I have been thinking of making a pen with peacock feathers and on this occasion I started to work. Little by little I'll put pictures of the process, start by placing some wooden blocks at the ends of brass tubes to prevent entry when making resin casting polyester resin.

Select the desired pen, in this case we use the feather eye

little by little we are sticking around the tube pulma joining the ends with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue and wire stringing

Once finished the bottom of our model of pen "Cigar" will do the same process with the top

It is this aspect once the process of gluing the feathers must now prepare for casting polyester resin, which will be later.

Soon I will put more pictures of the process, a greeting to all from southern Spain

Alfonso.

Good luck Alfonso. Looks like your on your way. I make a lot of feather blanks from a lot of different birds. Peacock are beautiful. I just wish the resin didn't darken them. Looking forward to seeing your results. John

Good work! I can see where that technique would be useful for other materials. Have you considered publishing a tutorial?

Hello Eldee, what to me seems a perfect tutorial, where I have to put in this section or in another language, I live in Spain and my English is not very good, advise me where to put it and I will make a tutorial in full.

I am also preparing a very detailed tutorial with a step by step snakeskin and stamps from the United States of famous actors and actresses of Hollywood as James Dean, John Wayne, Marilyn Monroe, Humphrey Bogart and many more, if you want I can put those two tutorials.

Greetings

Alfonso.

Alfonso, I guess I made a suggestion that I cannot offer advice on. Can someone please provide Alfonso the basic process for posting a tutorial.

There's already a tutorial on the library by Shane Whitlock on how to cast feathers. So far it looks like the same process.
