Problems with a rollerball

I am makeing a rollerball. when I went to cut the cap end I went a little to deep with my parting tool I broke some of the Brass tube. is there any way to cut out the tube or repair the tube so I can put my pen together?

What rollerball are you making and how much shorter is the cap now? There are some on which the cap can be cut quite a bit shorter and still work just fine. And welcome to the IAP.

Its a flattop Roller ball kit from lee Valley. the cap is cut right but I damaged the brass that was suppose to be left exposed and there just isnt enough meat left to get the peice to fit on it.
