Is it the Presimo or is it me?

I have had a frustrating last two nights. I ordered two of the Presimo kits from PSI and the coupler that is on the end of the pen that allows the cap to post seems unsquare. Is it me or does is curve ever so slightly where the shoulder of the coupler meets the shaft (part inserted into the brass tube). It seems like it will not sit flush against the blank no matter how square I have it. I have tried several times.

I called PSI to get a return authorization today and will probably return them but I am wondering if any of you have experienced the same thing? Does it seem like the coupler will not seat right against the blank? Can you see a gap after assembled?

I've only made two so far and have not noticed this issue. I did however at first, think that they were a press fit cap and post, but realized that they were a fine screw on. I've been told over the years, i'm not to smart, but can lift heavy things.
