I've been noticing that lately.

I still give every tube a quick spin with an 100 grit rub down. I figure it's the easiest way to make sure there is nothing (e.g. oil, dirt, whatever) that might interfere with the tube bond. Only takes a few seconds and I consider it good insurance.

I just got 20 magnetic Graduates from PSI and noticed that. Being a belt and suspenders guy, I still gave them a quick swipe with 100 grit (as noted above).

I have only noticed with the PSI kits. The Dayacom and Berea that I ordered did not have that. Maybe they will follow. That would be awesome!

I'm in crisis right now. Have not turned anything since last Tues. Moved to Florida for a while...need to get set up again.
