I saw your response that you use polycrylic. I have wondered about that. I have used it for lots of stuff and like it, but never for pens. It dries quick and imparts no color at all. Do you use a sanding sealer first or just polycrylic? I assume you apply several coats. Do you use a friction polish after the poly or do you get a good glossy surface with just the poly.
By the way, I just checked HF and their vacuum pump is marked down from $44 to $8.99. They must be discontinuing.
