Pick guard coloure running with CA?

I segmented an acrylic blank with pick guard and when finishing with CA the colours of the pick guard spread onto the acrylic slightly. This is my first attempt with Pick Guard. How can this be prevented.

No reason to apply a CA finish with acrylic, just wet sand to 600 and buff with tripoli and white diamond, or use a plastic polish on the lathe. What glue are you suing to segment? Was there any problem before you applied the CA to finish? There might be some color migration if you use CA to glue the segments together. If so, try epoxy.

I used epoxy and had no problems until finishing with CA. Will skip the CA finish as suggested. Thanks

It may be possible that heat caused the pickguard to melt and flow over the other materiel. Sometimes this will happen when sanding plastics.
