Eraser doesn't come with it. I don't see why you can't use the bushings to turn between centers.

The reason I ask #2 is looking at the pic in the instructions, I couldn't tell if the lower barrel fits over the bushings or if it was just sized to the mandrel diameter (which is a B size). The top looks like the bushings slip inside the tube.

The lower barrel does not fit over the bushings (no tenon). However, you can get "A" mandrel bushings for the PF from woodcraft. These do have a tenon that slips inside the lower barrel.
