Penn State Industries Pen designs

I was wondering if anyone knows if Penn State designs their own new pen kits or if they just buy them from China. it just seems they are the only company really coming out with any new pen designs. They seem to have quite a few new kits coming out lately whereas the other suppliers haven't really done much in the creating of new pen kits to sell.

I may be wrong, but my impression is that they design their own - isn't Nappy155 (member here, the numbers after the name may be off) a designer for them?

I could be 100% wrong but my understanding is they contract with china to do whatever designs they want. Since they do heavy volumes of sales they have some weight to get things like that. The smaller companies could do that as well but mostly don't, am guessing it's to much of a bad taste from dealing with dayacom.

They now design most of their pens.
