Pencil Problems

I know what a lot of you think about WoodCraft, but they're close to home for me. Anyway, has anybody else had problems with the slim line pencils. Some of my co workers chipped in and bought a pen & pencil set for another co worker (house warming gift). Well this lady uses her pencil at work every day. In the past 3 months I have had to replace the insides of the pencil because it stops working. The lead will not advance.

After work tommorrow I plan on going to WC to get a FREE replacement, or 2.

Just wondering if I am the only one to have this type of trouble.

I have had similar problems with slimline pencils. I prefer the twist pencils with the schmidt mechanisms.

I have used a slimline pencil every day in my work for the last three years and have experienced every type of problem you could think of. BUT what I have found that corrected the problem was a very good quality of lead. The cheaper the lead the more problems you will have. Throw away the lead that comes with the pencil and replace with GOOD lead. This has stoped all of my problems execpt one. I still have to add more on occasion.
