Pen sizes

I'm new to all this and I'm trying to determine which kits I want to purchase. I know I want to turn some of the larger pens, but I don't know which ones.

Can anyone provide me with ballpark dimensions for the finished overall length and upper/lower barrel diameters for the various kits?

I look at the photos of the pens both here and on vendor websites and I cannot find any reference to the finished pen dimensions.

I don't know of a chart or I'd pass that to you.
For CSUSA, each pen kit page has the finished size in the text describing the pen such as: http://www.woodturnerscatalog.com/s...en_Kits___Emperor_Pen_Kit___emporer_pen?Args=
which states ... Finished pen size: 21/32" x 5 5/8". Minimum blank size: 7/8" x 5".

As Gary said, the catalog descriptions are your best guide. But, a word of cautions. The larger pen kits are a bit costly to be used for learning. Most folks start with inexpensive Slimlines then move up to the big, and expensive, styles.

Generally the ends near hardware match to the bushing sizes. I believe there is a bushing size chart in the files area.
