My son has announced his wedding to the family. So I would like to make a pen set for him and Alice.

I want a high end pen kit, Yet he like thin pens

A baron and Jr. gentlemen kits are too thick.

I'm either thinking of:

1. a Elegant Beauty
2. a modified Slim line

do any of you turners have any different ideas for pen kits?

thanks

pens

The PSI Comfort pens are just a little thicker at the center band than slimlines, just dont use the rubber piece.

While not really high end kits the finishes are durable. They do have some more expensive plating options but my favorite is the cheaper gun metal. The only issue with these kits is its hit or miss on the refill; some write great others dont.

Wedding Pens

Make some huge, outrageous pen that he can keep on a desk. I like the statesman full size. Make something really special for his wife, too.

Then make a "daily use" pen/pencil set for each and give them a lifetime warrantee - it'll have to be your lifetime, I guess. Tell them if they ever break, lose, or otherwise ruin their gift you'll make another, no questions asked.

This way, they'll have an heirloom to pass on to your grandkids and they will also not be afraid to use your "other" pen daily.
