Being new can someone tell me if the Penn State Kits are good? I made a cigar pen last night and it seemed ok but I was wondering which kits are of higher quality. I bought a Pen State Platinum kit for my uncle as a birthday gift, did I waste my money?

Also can I use replacement ink for the Big Ben kit?

You will find that pen being very good quality. I make alot of them and have very good success. Ed (owner of PSI) were talking yesterday and the new kits comming out in Novemeber will be a big step for them in the higher end pens. The are also expanding the platinum across more kits. They are as looking into TI gold. They will still keep the lower end pens for people just starting out which is good. It gives them a great deal of choice for just starting out.

I have been using PSI Cigar kits for a number of years and have not had anything to complain about as of yet. I might add that they are excellent to work with on the phone if you run into something you don't quite understand with any of their products.
I also own their dust collector and would put it up against any on the market.
