pen display racks

Does anybody have a pattern for making a display rack? I'm thinking along the lines of the acrylic racks that hold a dozen pens laying down but displaying them vertically. All the places sell them but I'm into the scroll saw also so it should be fairly simple to build...but I need patterns.

I've never seen patterns... I made one from a picture that works pretty good for me.

My preference would be a more sophisticated display more like what Roy (The Oklahoman) uses.

Yea, I am in the same boat....there seems to be no tutorials or patterns for displays and custom pen boxes as well. =(

If you have a router or drill bits, you have the required tools.

I've made dozens-quick prototype, make one that works!

AVOID standing them up too straight (wind and people will knock the pens off).

Personally, I like them laying down, then tilted 20 degrees or so, yes, like Roy's. About 15-20 per rack is good and they should have some spacing between them. The larger the pen, the more space you want between them.

IF the pen costs over $150, it should have it's own box. So, no rack, IMO!!!
